Renovation Progress:

Locker Room BEFORE

Our locker room demolition and basic repairs are complete with new lighting, airflow diffusers and painting well underway. New locker stalls, flooring and graphics will be coming soon, with several additional components still in need of funding. And the initial phase of the legacy space outside of Rink 1 has been designed with final graphics production and installation awaiting additional fundraising.

THE PROBLEM

  • Not enough lockers for all players,

  • Lockers, benches, flooring and shower all in extremely poor condition, benches cracked and worn in several places

  • Lockers ineffective for properly drying and storing hockey gear

  • HVAC not functioning correctly – locker room reaches high 70-degrees negatively impacting player recovery

  • Rusty, Dank and Dirty — Humid and smelly air quality

  • Exposed showers with non-functioning shower heads

  • Non-functioning or broken bathroom facilities

THE SOLUTION

  • Girls’ and Boys’ locker rooms will be nearly identical in scope with minor variables due to room layout

  • New, modern locker stalls for each player

  • Accommodate player travel bag, hooks to allow equipment to air out and dry properly

  • HVAC enhancements to improve airflow, improve temperature, solve equipment drying heat issues, and more

  • Ceiling and lighting updated to improve ambient lighting and support better airflow

  • Shower updates and general plumbing improvements to modernize space for privacy

  • Eden Prairie Hockey branding, graphics and paint

  • Additional features including stick racks, white boards, refrigerator, cabinets, water bottle filling station
